My new project (in addition to the new bracelet, necklace and sets of 20 earrings I need to finish soon) is ....drumroll, please ... drawstring backpacks. I've been petting my fabric collection this week (inspiration therapy). Then, I stumbled upon a BIG sale at JoAnn's on Thursday. Ahhh. (I lie in bed wide awake at night designing these things in my head! Arrggghh!)As always, I needed to start with a couple of prototypes to work out the kinks. I finished a fun little princess backpack for LeLu (right). I love the happy lime green and hot pinks. (So Lily.) I added ribbon trims and lined it with some white eyelet fabric that Soups gave me a while ago. The foldover created a pretty eyelet edge. Now I'm working on A. Boston's (truck themed). Can't wait to show you when it's finished!
