P.S.

Irony is everywhere--don't you find? You'll be happy to know I had a nice weekend and a few days to relax, which (I think we can both agree--after my last post) was just what I needed. In that post, I neglected to mention something really, well ... ironic.

Remember the bolt of fabric that I said that I listed on Craig's List--at the same time I listed those infamous dishes? My first email response to that listing came from Sally ... a woman who is fighting breast cancer. She started this organization called The Big Pink Give. Volunteers use donations to make blankets, etc. for care packages for women who are facing breast cancer. The email asked if I'd consider donating my bolt of fabric for this organization. How could I say no? So, I made the donation. The Web site says: "The women who receive our care packages will know that others care, people that don't even know them."

After I made the donation, I received a "Thank you" email from Sally--who asked if she could add my name to the site to acknowledge the "kindness" and "thoughtfulness" of people like me. Of course, I had to laugh out loud ... you see, I'd just read Satin's email about the ugly line of deceit that runs through my family blood. Guess she didn't get the memo from Sally. But she did get the dishes.
