Strength in Numbers

Some days it seems like no matter how fast you run and how much effort you put into your sprint ... you just can't get there. (Or somebody is telling you that your stride is all wrong.) Makes you just want to stand still.

Then you hear about somebody like little Gabe, who has a rare disorder called Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita (AMC) which effects the joints with contractures and causes atrophy of the muscles. He is only two, yet has come such a long way. I donated a necklace and earrings set (right) as part of a gift basket for a recent fundraiser to help with Gabe's medical costs. I don't tell you this for an "atta girl" (in fact, I'm more about "not letting the right hand know what the left hand is doing"). I mention this because I feel blessed to have been asked to be a part of this effort. It's refreshing to see positive people come together in love, faith and support to make good things happen for others. And all of this was inspired by one little boy. Makes you forget the petty stuff and start thinking about all the possibilities for positive change in your world.
